Not-So-Greatest Journal

On my webcomic site, I previously had an embedded journal hosted by Greatest Journal, because they offered embedding on their free accounts.

Except their name is a lie. Their server apparently bought the farm six months ago, with no further news updates (nor anything really visible on their site until you dig for it) since then. I managed a few updates through in April, but since then I haven't been able to update my newsfeed journal.

SO. I need a NEW service that also allows journal embedding, and isn't going to die without notice like this crappy one did. If you know one that offers this and looks like it'll stick around, please comment and let me know?

First off is http://wiki.noljads.com/Category:LiveJournal_Clones

Next is, what do you mean by embeded? Also do you have PHP available? The reason I ask is because, http://arenblogs.com/ that's my site, I wrote the software myself so I could edit it quickly to work for you.

By embedded, I mean I use a few lines of code on the front page of the comic site, and that code makes the journal appear. It's something like "embed in site" or somesuch that's the feature I'm looking for (and for free; I can do it with LJ but I'd have to pay).

I don't have access to PHP (or coding in general) on the server as I'm still using ComicGenesis's server (again, trying to avoid paying for as much as possible; right now I'm in only for domain name and proxy service), which is why I'm seeking an outside service to do what GreatestJournal used to do.

Let me think about it. :) What would your offer be, and would you want compensation for it?

I'd just let you use some of my hosting, I get 100GB bandwidth a month and use maybe 100MB so it wouldn't hurt me any. You'd have your own FTP account and a MySQL database to use, and email accounts for your domain too.

You'd be able to help with setup for things like setting up the news feed, rss, domain forwarding, etc? (I'm really not that skilled with actual web-hosting things, honestly....)
